Don't Make These Mistakes On Your Website

Your website is your online property - invest in it wisely. Though we all know the importance of optimising a website to make it rank well on Search Engines, many of us end up making some very common and costly mistakes that should be avoided at all times.

Here are some SEO Mistakes to Avoid -
  • Building the home page of your website with Flash/Splash.
  • Using heavy images in place of text on your webpages.
  • Not having enough and well written website content on your web pages.
  • Building a 2-3 page website and expecting good results!
  • Not updating your website with fresh content for days and months.
  • Having the same title and page description instead of unique and different titles for each webpage on your website.
  • Using unethical tricks such as hidden text and doorway pages etc.

Good article; short and sweet.
I personally know that having broken links on your website is one of the best ways to keep away traffic.
I reviewed my favourite program for building a sitemap which also checks for broken links. If you click on my name you can read it.
