Fitness Management & Health Care at the Workplace

Fitness Management & Health Care at the Workplace
When was the last time you felt truly fit and healthy?

While it is important to make strong career goals for progress in your career path, developing fitness goals at work is also essential if you want to improve your overall health, wellbeing and productivity at work.

Health is Wealth
There is no denying the fact that your health and prosperity is yours to care. Since a large part of your day is spend at the office place, it is recommended to develop fitness goals at the work place that will help you to stay fit throughout your work day.

By evaluating your regular day at work and paying attention to simple details at the workplace, you can bring about huge differences in the way you look and feel.

1. Make healthy decisions. Throughout the day in office, you have the choice to opt for the healthier ways of doing regular tasks.

a. Take the stairs instead of the elevator.
b. Walk towards the water dispenser every time you want to have a drink of water instead of keeping a jug full of water on your desk.

2. Analyze your daily work routine. If you have been suffering from back pains and neck aches, its time you paid attention to your posture, your chair and your work habits.

a. Readjust your chair so that your back has proper support.
b. Make proper use of the armrests on your chair to release strain from the arms.
c. Adjust the height of the chair so that when you sit, your feet rest firmly on the floor.
d. Adjust the lights in the room so that your eyes do not feel unnecessary strain caused due to too much or too little lighting.

3. Stretch yourself. Take a few short breaks every once in a while between work. Stand up, walk a little and stretch yourself to relax your stiff muscles.

4. Don’t forget to Blink. If you work on the computer for a large part of your day, it is important to blink often. This helps in avoiding dryness of the eyes.
